Rita Raley joined John Cayley for a performance and discussion of digital poetics at the Institute for Advanced Study, University of Minnesota (March).

Former Transcriptions/LCM grad Jeremy Douglass was featured in Wired for his Playpower project (the $12 computer).

The University of Victoria INKE (Implementing New Knowledge Environments) group received a C$2.5m grant to study reading in the digital age. INKE includes researchers affliliated with Transliteracies and the Literature.Culture.Media Center.
